Team work is the fuel that allows common people to produce uncommon results

Sports bring people together; they are important elements of our social cohesion. Weather it is for the pleasure of the experience, professionalism or simply for the fun, sports provoke dialog, transcend boundaries, they teach us how to be tolerant and accepting to others. Team spirit and the importance of team work are the core principles of sportsmanship.

Sports bring out the individual qualities and unique characteristics in people. A true athlete has great confidence in him/her self, a “go for it” mentality that makes one fearless of failure. A great competitor strives for continuous improvement every day and believes in competitiveness but only if fair and earned by discipline and constant hard work.

Never the less, victory is not “single”. Wining for one self is wining for the whole “team”.

Makedonski Telekom as a company that rests its cornerstone on team work, team spirit and sharing experiences, is a strong supporter of the development of sports in Macedonia. We as a company, support sport activities that stand for these basic principles, in which we strongly believe in and by doing so we support the development of our local communities as well as the quality of life for the future generations.

In 2009, we sponsored the following:

• Traditional sponsorship of the biggest international sports event in the country - the Ohrid Swimming Marathon
• Traditional sponsorship of the futsal match between the media and several big companies from Macedonia, organized by “Sportsko Radio”, for the purpose of strengthening the team spirit and mutual respect
• Support for the holding of the Small Olympic Games where 1200 students from all over Macedonia took place for supporting activities of public interest and promotion thereof in the sphere of sports in the Republic of Macedonia.

Some of the sports activities sponsored by Makedonski Telekom in 2008 are:

• Sponsorship for realization and technical support for organization of the event "Broadcasting of the European Championship in Football 2008” within the program for support of the activities of public interest in the area of development, promotion and popularization of sports
• The  traditional sponsorship of the biggest International sport events in the country - the Ohrid Swimming Marathon
• Sponsorship for realization of the international event "Fight against racism and nationalism" held in Kumanovo. An organized football tournament for children for promotion of the “healthy body, healthy spirit” premises.
• Tournament in futsal among different media and some of the biggest companies in Macedonia for building team spirit and respect
