The Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics in Skopje received a significant donation from Makedonski Telekom. It is a modern, multifunctional device for anesthesia of patients undergoing surgeries of gynecological and obstetric nature. This is the first such device at the clinic and in the country in general, provided in accordance with the needs of the clinic for better care of patients.

The director of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dr. Viktorija Jovanovska, PhD, said: “This device will significantly help everyone, but especially high-risk patients who are exposed to anesthesia during difficult and long surgeries. . It is a technological achievement that will be used in more than 3000 complex gynecological surgeries that are performed annually at our clinic. This donation is even more important because we receive it at a time of significantly reduced capacity of existing equipment due to its extensive use, and a period in which investments were significantly reduced due to the pandemic.”

Prof. Sivevski PhD, Head of the Department of Intensive Care, Anesthesia and Resuscitation said: “The main function of the device is to anesthetize patients undergoing gynecological and obstetric surgeries. The benefits of the device, which is superior both in terms of features and quality, are enormous because it will be used in all patients...

The delivery of this device, which is the only one of its kind in the country, will complement the capacities of the existing equipment, which in turn will significantly affect and ensure the smooth functioning of the surgery program.”
