Support for humanity - for a better end of this year and for a better beginning of the New Year

Giving and caring are common for this time of year, but for the volunteers of the organization SANO who help children with malignancies and their parents, care and support is part of their everyday life. These heroes who faced malignancies in their childhood and who have overcome the disease are now helping the children who have a vulnerable health status, just like the one they had a few years ago.

The experiences they had while they were fighting the disease help the volunteers to easily identify in which segment and what kind of help these children and their parents need. Sharing experiences, psychological and logistical support through the health system, but also mere socializing with the children and the parents are part of the daily activities of the network of volunteers from SANO. Last year, this organization also opened the Parents' House which provides accommodation for the parents whose children are treated at the Clinic for Pediatric Diseases.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, Makedonski Telekom provides support to this humanitarian organization in the form of a donation, in order to help the implementation of their projects and activities. This year, the company, in a joint action with the employees, donated a prefabricated general outpatient clinic to the Clinic for Pediatric Diseases, and with the support of the SANO volunteers, it is continuing its mission for creation of a humane society.

These people should serve as an example and inspiration for all of us and, before the end of this year which brought us many challenges, they should remind us that the small individual acts of kindness can make a big difference.
