The 30th jubilee of the Skopje Jazz Festival will take place in its usual period, 20-24 October, powered by its friends of many years, Makedonski Telekom and T-Mobile. The Skopje Jazz Festival is an event that put Macedonia on the map of the most important music events in the world during the past 30 years.

The thirtieth anniversary of the festival announces a very rich, high quality and longest and most comprehensive programme ever. The most famous names of the jazz world, with a focus on the young promising bands will take part in the programme.

The jubilee of one of the most important cultural events in Macedonia will be marked by the two legendary names of jazz that will perform in Macedonia for the first time - Pat Metheny and Wayne Shorter. In addition, the Macedonian public will have an unordinary opportunity to see and enjoy the concerts of some other really big names of the American and European Jazz, rich additional programme, adequate exhibition and promotion of the luxurious monograph.

In addition to the five festival days at the traditional location in the Universal Hall and MOB, on the occasion of the jubilee, this year’s anniversary of the Skopje Jazz Festival was enriched by the two pre-festival concerts. The Macedonian band “Setstat” and Vasil Hadzimanov Trio played on the first night, promoting their new CDs under the SJF label. The second night was dedicated to the European Festival with tradition of many years with young jazz bands, “12 Points", where the best Macedonian jazz artists took part.

The Skopje Jazz Festival which has been powered by Makedonski Telekom and T-Mobile for several years now, has a great reputation, not only with the Macedonian jazz lovers, but in wider world frames, representing Macedonia as a place that has gathered the biggest music names. Therefore, the festival represents a real holiday for all those that enjoy the sounds of jazz.
