With MobiPay, the mobile telephone is becoming a virtual wallet
The service is available with all models of mobile phones
Fast, easy and safe payment connected directly to the bank account or the account of the payment card from NLB Tutunska Banka

T-Mobile is the first mobile operator which, as of today, in partnership with NLB Tutunska Banka, enables its customers to use their mobile phones as wallets, i.e. with their mobile phones to pay bills in coffee bars, restaurants, markets, home appliances stores, etc.

MobiPay provides a totally new way of cashless payment through the mobile phone, directly from the bank account in NLB Tutunska Banka. With the activation of MobiPay, the mobile telephone is becoming a virtual wallet in which several payment cards can be accommodated.

“The mobile payment is one of those services in which the new technology is completely put in the function of the customer. It was only some ten years ago when the mobile telephone served only for making calls and sending SMS messages and now it is becoming an “all in one” multifunctional device which at the end of the day makes life easier, and that should be the ultimate goal of the modern technologies. With the mobile payment, the mobile telephone is getting yet another role – it is becoming a virtual wallet. And it is a wallet that serves the needs of all customers, both in post-paid and in prepaid, as well as both the customers who use the latest smart-phones and those who have telephones of the older generation. With Moby Pay the customers get added value, i.e. an additional possibility totally free of charge” – said Mr. Zarko Lukovski, the Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile Macedonia.

“NLB Tutunska Banka, as a modern and innovative bank, this time too is the first bank on the market which, together with T-Mobile, has introduced a new and unique possibility for payment in the points of sale, directly with the mobile phones of the customers. Through the MobiPay functionally, for the first time, we will enable the users of our services to use their funds on the accounts in NLB Tutunska Banka through a mobile telephone.

When purchasing, the clients will not have to carry payment cards or wallets, but only their mobile phones. Generally speaking, the greatest challenge when it comes to the effectuation of payments is how to do that in a practical, safe and simple manner. All these aspects are present in the MobiPay functionality", said Mr. Gjorgji Jancevski, the President of the Management Board of NLB Tutunska Banka.

For activation of MobyPay, the T-Mobile customers need to have a card account in NLB Tutunska Banka for which they should sign a contract with the Bank, wherein the account shall be connected with the mobile phone number of the customer and a PIN will be issued for verification of every transaction performed with a telephone. The payment funds will be deducted from the card account and not from the telephone account. In this way, the mobile payment is available for all prepaid and post-paid customers of T-Mobile.

The payment through MobiPay is already enabled at many locations in Skopje and throughout Macedonia, and the network is continuously expanding.
