The second season of the Telekom eSports Championship begins, once again organized by Makedonski Telekom, Hrvatski Telekom and Crnogorski Telekom. This year, apart from the competitors from Macedonia, Croatia and Montenegro, players from outside the Adriatic region, i.e. from other countries in the European Union, Great Britain and Switzerland, will also be able to participate in the competition. Entries are open from 25-30 April at esports.telekom.com and the participants will compete in three games: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA23 and League of Legends.

The purpose of this tournament is not only to play video games, but also to connect young people from Europe and the world, regardless of their cultural differences, the countries they come from and the language they speak. Contrary to the widespread opinion that young people are increasingly withdrawing online because of the new technologies, through this competition, Telekom wants to break the prejudices and show that e-sports connects people, encourages skill building, builds positive relationships between players and creates communities characterized by mutual understanding and support.

Last year, 1,366 competitors participated in the tournament, and the prize fund was EUR 21,800, just like this year. The tournament starts on May 15, and the final will be held in Zagreb on June 10.
