Makedonski Telekom, as an established technological leader, is committed to the goal of providing the best services via superior technology and the best network infrastructure. To that end, the company has been continuously investing in upgrades of the fixed and mobile network on the entire territory of Macedonia.

Bitola is one of the towns where there is an ongoing expansion and a technological upgrade of the Telekom fibre optic network, whereby the customers will be provided with a solid and reliable network, gigabyte symmetrical speeds and a possibility to connect multiple various devices without decreasing the technical performances. The new locations, where the Telekom teams have been working on the installation of a fibre optic network infrastructure, are the regions known as Oblasta and Dovledzik.

“As never before, the global digitization has been imposing new challenges on the operators and a necessity to provide ultra fast, safe and reliable communication services. Thus far, almost 3,000 customers in Bitola have had access to the Telekom fibre optic network, wherein, with the ongoing field upgrade, this number will become twice as high.”, said Nikola Ljushev, the Chief Executive Officer of Makedonski Telekom.

Ensuring a top customer experience for the citizens of Bitola via the best network infrastructure, both in the fixed and in the mobile communications, is an important priority for the company to which we are fully committed in partnership with the municipality. That is exactly why Bitola was one of the first municipalities where the mobile network was upgraded with equipment from the latest generation.

In parallel with the expansion of the 5G network, Makedonski Telekom has also been expanding its fibre optic network throughout the country, thus contributing for a faster and complete digitization of society.

The company started building out the fibre optic network in 2009 and, until the present day, it has provided more than 250,000 fibre optic access points in Macedonia. This year, by means of investments and field work, the company will provide additional 26,000 new access points, while also ensuring a possibility for immense speeds, a signal delay of less than 1ms, a solid and ultra high quality connection, etc.
