The wholesale ADSL service is a broadband access service based on the ADSL technology of Makedonski Telekom, developed for the purposes of a fast Internet access. The service, by means of using the existing standard copper pair installed in the telephone access (subscriber) network, provides a possibility for asymmetric data transfer with a high speed, as a supplement for the traditional telephone services for the purposes of implementing Internet access.

As to the wholesale ADSL service including Internet peering, the data traffic of the ADSL subscribers is forwarded via the IP network of Makedonski Telekom to the Internet. Makedonski Telekom shall provide a takeover point for authentication to the Point of Presence of the ISP in Skopje. As to the wholesale ADSL service without Internet peering, the data traffic of the ADSL subscribers is forwarded via the IP network of Makedonski Telekom to the Point of Presence of the ISP in Skopje. The ISP is to provide international and domestic peering of the traffic to Internet.

The ISP may order a wholesale ADSL service on the PSTN/ISDN line for the end user of the same PSTN/ISDN line. The term end user denotes an ISP subscriber to whom the ISP provides a retail ADSL service.
