А fund in the amount of EUR 8,000 is provided for opening of two new e-classrooms

The e-Macedonia Foundation, established by Makedonski Telekom, announces a call for submission of applications for support of projects through which the socially vulnerable citizens will be able to acquire basic computer skills free of charge. The submitted applications for support by the Foundation should refer to opening an e-classroom where the target group will learn to use computers (Word, Excel etc.) and will acquire knowledge on Internet, e-mail etc.
The e-Macedonia Foundation will provide a fund in the amount of EUR 8,000 opening two new e-classrooms. More specifically, the Foundation provides full or partial funds for opening of every e-classroom and also for technical support with teaching aids, as well as internet connection for full functioning of the equipment.
The interested organisations that will apply for opening e-classrooms are obliged to provide teaching location and trainers. The project, which will be supported by the Foundation, will be selected in accordance with their contribution to the improvement of the computer skills of the socially isolated groups, the duration of the project, the previous experience in implementation of similar projects, the professionals included in the projects, etc

The interested organisations can apply for support of its projects via the application posted on the Foundation’s web site www.e-makedonija.org.mk. The completed application should be sent to kontakt@e-makedonija.org.mk. The call for submission of applications will be open until 26 June, and the trainings for the citizens will be conducted in the period September – December 2015.
The e-Macedonia Foundation initiated the “e-Classrooms” project in 2012 in order to enable the socially vulnerable citizens to acquire basic computer skills. So far, this project has educated around 400 citizens in the Republic of Macedonia and the e-classroom in Radovis is still active.
The purpose of the “e-Classrooms” project is to offer the socially vulnerable persons access to information, social interaction, improvement of the educational standards and skills and thus promotion the possibilities for employment. Concurrently, the idea of the e-Macedonia Foundation is to create a comprehensive digital society in which everyone will be able to explore their possibilities and benefits from the new technologies, to have a free access and to share information and services, as well as to be able to participate in the community in a more efficient manner.
