Deutsche Telekom is becoming the leading European telecommunications provider.
The Group will invest more than six billion Euros in the expansion of its European networks by 2018.

"We connect people in Europe!" is the motto of the new media campaign that Deutsche Telekom is launching in twelve European countries, among which is Macedonia. This campaign supports the Deutsche Telekom Group's strategy to become the leading telecommunication company in Europe with the most advanced network. Makedonski Telekom is the first company from the Deutsche Telekom Group that, more than one year ago, fully modernized its internet protocol based fixed network (All-IP), while T-Mobile develops the best 4G network in Macedonia. Within this campaign, the other Deutsche Telekom members will also follow the Macedonian example for investing in modern networks.

By 2018, we want to become the leading European telecommunications company and therefore we invest in modern network technologies and cross-border infrastructure in Europe. Together with our local companies, we strive to offer our customers the best network quality, products and services and capture business synergies efficiently," said Claudia Nemat, Board Member for Europe and Technology at Deutsche Telekom. The Group intends to invest more than six billion Euros in the expansion of its European network by 2018, to complete the migration of customer lines to all-IP network in all other countries and to offer even more cloud-based products, said Nemat.

With this international media campaign, in which the central connecting element is the "T", Deutsche Telekom sends a clear message to all countries – “We connect people in Europe". The campaign raises the awareness of the fact that Europe is growing closer together, and that Deutsche Telekom and its state-of-the-art technologies are connecting people and markets regardless of the borders.

The idea of the campaign is to present united Europe by moving the most famous cultural buildings and sites from each of the “Telekom countries” closer together. The union is presented via the bridges characteristic for each of the countries, which connect Europe with the support of the magenta “T”. For example, in Macedonia, that is the Stone Bridge and the Fortress (Skopje), then Charles Bridge in the Czech Republic (Prague), the Europabrücke/Europe bridge in Austria (Brenner Pass), the Chain Bridge in Hungary (Budapest), the "Blue Wonder" in Germany (Dresden) and the New Bridge in Slovakia (Bratislava).

In addition to Macedonia, as of today, the campaign also starts in Germany, then Montenegro on 11 May. The campaigns for Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, the Netherlands, Austria, Slovakia, Romania and Albania will follow in June.
