AKTO, Balkan Music Square, Strumica Open Festival and Struga Poetry Evenings entertained thousands of citizens across Macedonia
T brand – a loyal partner of Macedonian art, culture, music and sports

In the course of August, the T brand in Macedonia supported several different activities and events across several towns in Macedonia, which activities and events were aimed at promoting sports, music, culture and art. The month started very actively, with the several-day long AKTO Festival in Bitola organized this year for the seventh time, and it continued with the Balkan Music Square which was organized by “Treto Uvo” for the 11th time, and fifth time with the support of the T brand in Macedonia. Each year the festival is held in the open, at the Antique Theatre in Ohrid, and the guests have the opportunity to enjoy the music of our famous musicians, stars from the former Yugoslavia and from wider Europe.

For the 26th year in a row, August is reserved for the biggest sporting event in our country, the Ohrid Swimming Marathon, in which about twenty marathon swimmers swim the 30 km long lane Klime Savin. This year it was held on 19 August in Ohrid, with the participation of even six Macedonian swimmers: Evgenij Pop Acev, Aleksandar Ilievski, Aleksandar Pancevski, Dejan Mladenovski, Miro Krstevski and Aleksandar Toromanovski.

Investing in the development and promotion of young people is part of the strategy for social and corporate responsibility of the T brand. It is exactly due to that reason that the cooperation with the School of Young Leaders of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, PhD has been lasting for two years now and it aims to enable the young and talented people from Macedonia to upgrade and advance their skills, as well as to develop their creativity and managerial skills. The school is held in Ohrid and, so far, in the course of the ten-day stay, more than 100 young people have had the opportunity to attend the free trainings for development and promotion.

As part of the T brand project for support of the municipalities across Macedonia, which project began in 2011, in August of this year, the municipality of Strumica organized a several-day long event filled with a variety of artistic and cultural entertainment activities. The full-length evening parties with Prljavo Kazaliste, Psihomodo Pop, Ceca Raznjatovic, the numerous poetry evenings and theatre events attracted visitors even from the neighbouring countries, at the same time contributing to the feeling of the citizens of Strumica, after a long time, that the city is regaining its artistic character.

The T brand wrapped up August 2012 with the 51st Struga Poetry Evenings. From 23 to 26 August, this world-renowned event took place, which is devoted to poetry and which is attended by a number of poets with their presentations. This year's theme is "Can beauty save the world?" Furthermore, on 20 August, in the vestibule of church St. Sofia, after 40 days of music and theatre with artists from our country and from abroad, this year's 52nd edition of the Ohrid Summer Festival was closed.

This summer was marked by lots of music, exhibitions, poetry evenings and theatre productions realized with the support of Makedonski Telekom and T-Mobile.
