Another successful project for full modernization of the network has been completed.

As of 1 October, all T-Mobile customers will be transferred to new MSC Blade Cluster servers, which means that the capacity of the network for calls and SMS will be increased up to four times. The project started in July this year and for a record time of 2 months the whole T-Mobile customer base was transferred from the old to the new servers.

This project is a step forward to the complete modernization of the network and it is in line with the modernization of the fixed network, a project with which, by the end of 2013, all fixed customer are to be migrated to completely internet based services.

After the ending of this project, the T-Mobile and T-Home customers will have access to converted services in the mobile and fixed telephony and internet of the latest technology. With the migration to the new servers, T-Mobile will be one of the few operators in the world that own this advanced technology.

With the new technology, within a record time we obtained 4 times bigger capacity for calls and SMS, as well as a basis for the next generation services. It is no longer enough to have the best network in Macedonia - with this project we continue to keep our pace with the operators worldwide” – said Zarko Lukovski, Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile Macedonia.
